So today we start our journey from Interlaken. It would take almost 1hr 36 mins from Zurich by train. Zurich to Interlaken trains require a transfer in either Berne or Lucerne as there is no direct train from Interlaken to Zurich. As a whole, the journey including transfers takes approximately 1hr 55 mins. The overall distance between Interlaken and Zurich is 92 km.

A few words about Interlaken:

It is a traditional resort town in the mountainous Bernese Oberland region of central Switzerland. Built on a narrow stretch valley, between the emerald coloured waters of Lake Thun and Lake Brienz, it has old timber houses and parkland on either side of the Aare River.Its surrounding mountains, with dense forests, alpine meadows and glaciers, has numerous hiking and skiing trails.Moreover it’s as picturesque as heaven truly and completely.

Exploring Lauterbrunnen:-

It is a municipality in the Swiss Alps. It encompasses the village of Lauterbrunnen, set in a valley featuring rocky cliffs and the roaring, 300m high Staubbach Falls. Nearby, the glacial water of Trümmelbach Falls gush through mountain crevices past viewing platforms. A cable car runs from from Stechlberg village to Schilthorn mountain, for views over the Bernese Alps.

Exploring Jungfraujoch:

The most beautiful part of this region, Jungfraujoch is a saddle in the Bernese Alps, connecting the two four thousander peaks Jungfrau and Mönch, at an elevation of 3466 meters above sea level. It is a glaciour saddle on the upper snows of the Aletsch Glacier, and part of the Jungfrau -Alestech area, situated on the boundary between the cantons of Bern and Valais, halfway between Interlaken and Fiesch.

How to reach there: The way of communication is through Swiss railway. The train into the the mountain leaves from Klein’s Scheidegg which can be reached by trains from Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen via Wengen. Before arriving at the Jungfraujich, it stops for a few minutes at two other stations, where passengers can see through the wholes excavated from the mountain. This joy from will take almost 59 mins, the downhill return journey taking only about 35 mins.

What to explore there: A large complex of tunnels and buildings has been constructed at the Jungfraujoch, mostly into the south side of Mönch. There is a hotel, two restaurants, an observatory, a research station, a small cinema, a ski school and the “ice palace”, a collection of elaborate ice sculptures. Another tunnel leads outside to a flat, snow covered area, where one can walk around and look down to the other mountains which will offer the good views of the Jungfrau and other summits.

Exploring Lausanne:-

Next day we will proceed towards Lausanne which is the capital city and biggest town of the canton of Vaud in Romandy, Switzerland, a municipality situated in the shores of Lake Léman. It faces the French town with the Jura Mountains to its north west. Lausanne is located 62 km northeast to Geneva.

Any place of Switzerland is as beautiful as heaven with the utmost perfection of natural beauty. Here, so many places as Olympic museum, Lausane Cathedral, Sauvabelin Tower Musée de l Elysée, Hermitage Foudations and Collection de l Art Brut. Of them the most spectacular and heritage walking on age old wooden bridge over the lake.

One may explore the most famous Bollywood shooting spot at Mount Titlis. Titlis is a mountain of the Uri Alps, located on the border between cantons of Obwalden and Bern. At 3238 meters above sea level, it is the highest summit of the range north of the Susten Pass, between the Bernese Oberland and Central Switzerland.

Our next destination will be the spectacular The Geneva Water Fountain. It is a large fountain in Geneva, Switzerland and is one of the most famous landmarks, being featured on the city’s official tourism web site and on the official logo for Geneva’s hosting of group stage matches in the 2008 UFFA Euro.
